During the COVID Lockdown, I finally got the time to explore and some of my other interests

In the middle of Crystal Palace Park in South London are a collection of statues of prehistoric animals. They were created in the mid 1800s when the world was only just beginning to learn about these animals. They were the first attempt to recreate life-sized models and many of them are now known to look quite different.

All around London (and the rest of the UK) are Blue Plaques commemorating famous artists, scientists, statesmen etc. I created a number of tours around London visiting some of the famous scientists. This then grew to include other tours and more are on their way!

My great grandfather, grandfather and father were all in the Navy and kept journals of their time. My father and grandfather only kept them for the time they were Midshipmen, as was required but by great grandfather kept his from 1888 to 1926 and this forms the basis of this website
